These swans, being both duality and harmony between purity and occultism, assign their colours in such a way that femininity takes on whiteness and masculinity, blackness. However, two types of light exist, as the black and white background of the painting shows. That of the day: solar and male and that of the night: lunar and female.

The rivalry and symmetrical reciprocity, which is the key to the creative process, brings out the animal’s vivid symbolism. The immaculate swan portends good omens by reflecting the power and grace of light, while the brown sign announces a buried, rare and imperceptible event, of which the plumage is only a decoy. It is through this kiss that the two luminosities combine to develop the ability to integrate other realms, while opening a door to spirituality whose complementary polarities will allow for productive “self-fertilisation”.
