This work is one of a series of four vertical lithographs devoted to precious stones. With its plant motifs and harmonious composition, it is typical of the Art Nouveau style of which Alfons Mucha was a strong advocate. The Czech poster artist devoted much of his career to exploring the formal possibilities offered by this pictorial style.u0026nbsp;The work is part of the gemstone series which also includes Amethyst and Ruby.
